Jekyll and Hyde!

Meandering
along
Calmly inviting
the storm
A shadow
that light denies
a heaving chest
Where love and hate collide

A clever masquerade
That has forgotten its roots
A craftsman
Rather carved by her tools
Comfortably shedding skins
While squirming inside
She is the perfect refuge
For Jekyll to Hyde/hide !

  1. The overcast sky
    A sight to behold
    The mesmerising shadows
    Saying stories untold

    I give in willingly
    In complete surrender
    In faith, never to
    Be cast asunder

    Though the storm
    Knows it's plight
    It's short-lived breath
    The momentous flight

    The load within
    Too heavy to ferry
    It loosens it's arms
    Unable to carry

    The raindrops fall
    Merrily to the ground
    In all their cheer
    With the prettiest sound

    A burden it carried
    So mean and dark
    A shower so comforting
    Gentle and stark

    Looked dark and mean
    What did it hide
    Something sinful
    Someone had lied

  2. Someone had indeed lied
    Someone always held me behind
I kept looking for that someone
Who turned out to be my own mind...

  3. I searched and searched
    Far and wide
    If only I had
    Looked inside

    This someone who
    Had said the lie
    Was me, myself
    And only I
